Shielded from Medicaid

To qualify for Medicaid, many individuals have to do an income or asset spend down. However, the way you spend down your money matters- you can’t just spend it on anything. Typically the income or assets are spent on health care, medical-related costs, or accrued debt (mortgage, vehicle, credit card balances, etc).

What’s great about our funeral insurance is that it counts towards your spend down. Or in other words, it won’t be counted as an asset when you go to apply for Medicaid.

This works the same way as if you had planned with an individual funeral home. Although, many people choose funeral trust because it gives you much more flexibility and benefits that individual funeral homes cannot.
